Is My Child on Track with Other Children his/her Age?
That is such a hard question to answer as each child is different. Every family is different and family environment, birth order and so many other factors play a role. Without even looking at developmental milestones (standards by the CDC) just ask yourself if you see your child growing. Not only physically but emotionally, socially and cognitively. Is he/she different than when he started the school year? Does she make friends easily? Is her vocabulary changing? Children who make leaps during a school year are probably doing just fine.
For more information about the developmental milestones for your child's age and stage of development click here: https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/actearly/milestones/
If you have concerns or questions about your child's development speak to his pediatrician first for guidance on what your next steps should be.
