MS. MARY LATULIPPE
DIRECTOR OF WEEKDAY MINISTRIES
Hello prospective parents and children,
I am a born and raised third generation citizen of League City and member of the League City United Methodist Church. My parents moved to Santa Fe when I was in 7th grade so I did graduate from Santa Fe High School, but as they say I got home as soon as I could. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University (TXState) in San Marcos where I received my Bachelors of Science in Education. I also received my Masters of Education Leadership from University of Houston-Clear Lake and received my Principal's certification.
I worked in Austin ISD my first two years out of school as a Licensed Athletic Trainer for several schools. I was offered my dream job at Clear Creek High School in the summer of 1981. I came home to begin my 32 year education career as a Wildcat. Over the years, I was the Licensed Athletic trainer, Health Educator, Campus Leader and an Assistant Principal. Since retirement, I have taught a semester at San Jac as an adjunct professor of ED 1310, substituted as an elementary assistant principal, interim director at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Nassau Bay and a couple of semesters substituting at the high school level.
I loved my time in secondary education but discovered soon after retirement while substituting at Ross Elementary with the help of a GREAT MENTOR I wanted a second career in Elementary and Early Childhood. I am so pleased to be the director at Creative Corners.
I have three wonderful adult children, Joey and his wife, Jessica, my daughter, Jenna and my new granddaughter, Mia. My children are my joy and backbone. I also have a Schnoodle, Silva that is a part of the family.
My philosophy of education is that little minds are like a sponge. The more you pour in the more they absorb. I believe every child can learn and be successful. Pre-school is the start of that success. At Creative Corners we instill that philosophy with a rigorous age appropriate curriculum, plenty of play and lots of love. We want each child wanting to come to school and leaving with a smile and telling their parents "school is fun". My door is always open, so come by and see me.
