ENROLL NOW!

We have openings in our  PK-3 & 4 classes and would love it if you would share your little one with us.

Why is pre-school so important?

Children are ready to begin learning at age three. Their brains are about 90% developed and they are ready to learn physically, socially and emotionally. At CC we encourage spiritual growth as well, through our chapel program that begins at three. Pre-school is a child's first experience with school.  We want our children to leave loving school. Our goal is to have them ready to start elementary excited and ready to perform at or above their developmental age. If your child is potty-trained, able to speak, likes to "read" and is interested in others it is time to start pre-school.

What can I expect my child to learn in Pre-school?

Children will learn by playing. We use the CIRCLE Pre-school curriculum (the same PK curriculum used in public school) This curriculum is research based and is written by UTHealth Science with  CLI Engage. Your child will be led in meaningful play all day. They will learn to share and get along with others. They will grow physically with use of large motor skills, and will grow cognitively by learning new vocabulary and pre-reading skills. Children will learn how to hold pencils and paintbrushes, write their names, arts & crafts and will begin journaling all improving fine motor skills. Each child will be learning what Kindergarten will look like with reading and math and language. Parents are so surprised by how much their child grows just after one semester in pre-school.

Why Pre-K at Creative Corners?

We offer several programs for our three and four-year-old children. Parents have a choice of sending children full time (Monday-Friday) or a two day (Tuesday & Thursday) program for three-year-old children and three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for the four year old children. Each class has no more than a 15:2 student to teacher ratio. We have fun while playing and learning while playing. Our children go home loving school.

What makes our teachers special?

Our teachers are certified with the State of Texas in Early Childhood education and/or hold certificates for a Child Development associates degree. All of our staff are passionate about teaching children where they are and getting the most of each student. The staff spends a lot of time preparing and completing professional development. Each teacher must also complete 24 hours of independent professional development each year. Our staff is training in first aid and CPR for the child and must hold a current 4 hours of professional development each year and must be trained in CPR.

So, if you want to allow your child to test the waters and see if they are prepared for organized pre-school this is a great way to start. Register now for the 2024-2025 school year.

Learning through play is very important in early childhood. Children improve social, emotional and physical aspects within their appropriate developmental milestones. Open play in the classroom is a daily activity. Each class has a recess scheduled daily in the gym or on the playground.
